No collateral or third-party security is required.


The following documents are required to apply for a MUDRA loan:

  • Mudra application form (PDF format) duly completed with passport-sized photographs.
  • Passport, Voter ID card, Driving License, PAN card, Adhaar Card, Utility Bills (Water/Electricity Bills), Birth certificate, Class X certificate are all required KYC documents for the applicant.
  • Self-attested identity proof which can be Aadhar card, PAN, Voter’s ID, Passport, driving license, and valid photo ID card as issued by the government.
  • Self-addressed address proof which includes Aadhar card, passport, voter’s ID card, bank passbook, and utility bill.
  • Proof of income - Latest ITR Financial Docs of Income.
  • Last 6 months Bank statement.
  • Ownership proof of residence/office.
  • Proof of continuity of business.
  • Trade references.



To be eligible for a MUDRA loan, you must meet the following criteria:


  • You must be an Indian citizen.
  • You must be between 18 and 65 years old at the time of final EMI repayment.
  • You must be planning to start a business in non-agricultural activities requiring a loan amount less than INR 10 Lakhs.
  • The eligibility criteria may vary slightly depending on the bank or financial institution you are applying to. You can check the eligibility criteria by visiting the official website of the desired bank and filling in the required details.

MUDRA loan interest rate

The interest rate for MUDRA loans varies depending on the bank or financial institution you are applying to. The interest rates usually start at 7.30% p.a. and can go up to 20% p.a.

For instance, Indian Bank offers MUDRA loans at an interest rate of 10.65% p.a. onwards. The annual interest rate for Mudra Shishu loans ranges from 1% to 12%.

Maximum loan amount under mudra scheme


The maximum loan amount offered under the MUDRA scheme is up to Rs. 10 lakh. The loan is categorized into three schemes named as Shishu, Kishor, and Tarun. Loans up to Rs. 50,000 are offered under the Shishu scheme and from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 5 lakh under the Kishor scheme.
